As a young girl, each time I went to Disneyland, we went with tons of cousins, aunts and uncles and it was a blast. I have my first entry pass for Disneyland it was $7.00 for the day!! I treasure my memories of our family trips and how much fun we had traveling with at least 50 family and friends!! I have wanted to take my kids for a long time and before they got too old to experience the magic--so we planned a trip with just our little kids and it was so FUN!

I know they would have had a blast with tons of cousins and family around, but it was great for us to go in such a small group. I loved watching my kids hang out together and become better friends and we had fun being together and Disneyland delivered, it was magical...

Schools out!

The last week of school was a whirl wind of activity. The kids had so much fun swimming, going to field day, AR carnival, getting their yearbooks and going to afterschool parties. Kallie got to ride her bike to school and she loved it. Hunter got some phone numbers of girls--help me!! My favorite thing was watching Lexie graduate from DARE. I love the song they sing and the message of making good choices, staying clean and being the best person they can be!

We also got to have some spring storms...this particular one caused a lot of trouble for many!!
I am all for moisture, but goodness...moderation in all things!! We are going on at least 2 weeks of wet! I am looking forward to replanting my garden.

May already?

We had a great Easter. Sheri and her kids and Lisa came up for the weekend and we had a blast.
We went to the Tremonton Egg Hunt and holy candy!! Yes those are full sized
candy bars and no one went home with fewer than 8! We love the Tremonton Egg Hunt!

I really love my sisters and I am so thankful for them. I am a better person because they are in my life helping me along. Thanks girls for being my sisters.
Sheri, Lisa and myself.
I am so proud of Lexie--She got to Rock the halls for her ar points!! Good Job Lexie, you ROCK.
Hunter auditioned for the Smithfield Children's Theater and got a part as Roberts the pirate. He practiced a song and sang in a room full of girls from his school and he did a great job. I was so nervous for him while he was singing, I couldn't help the tears that came. I was proud of his courage to do something he had never done and in front of the girls from his class and a bunch of kids from North Cache and High School. Lexie and Kallie are in group parts. The play is May 9th and 11th at 7:00!!

Now for a little story about my Kallie...Each month, she brings home a journal and i love to sit and read it. Today as I was reading, I loved a couple of her entries. This one made me laugh the hardest. I love that she can embrace one area that we fight about...her room.

If I were a worm I would be a magic worm. I would be a worm when my mom was working in the gardin. And the rest of the time I would be a person.

Family Reunion

Lisa, Natalie, Joe, My Mom and Dad

Shina, Jana, Ben and Vince Shalee, Sheri, mitch,Curtis, Tyler

Friday we had the opportunity to go to the open house for the Draper Temple. All of my family except Cort was there and we had such a great time. I am so thankful for each person in my family and the role they play in my life.
It was so touching to be in the temple with all the people I love and watch them as they walked around. I noticed many things about each of them, here are a few: I loved watching all the emotions play across Shina's face. I love the way Tyler took care of Mitchell, and that Hunter, Ben and Tyler were at the front ready to see it all. How Jana let us surround her and love her. I loved seeing Vince smile and that Lisa came even though she needed to work. I love my Mom and Dad. I loved walking by Lexie, Shalee and Kallie and hearing how they loved everything. I love Joe and Natalie and how much he loves her. I love that Curtis came and hung out with all the "crazy" :) people and Sheri for being her. I loved the calm peaceful feeling that was there testifying to me that I was in the House of the Lord.

Dress up!

As a little girl, we had a cat that we loved to dress up in doll clothes. She was a great sport and would let us carry her around and play house for hours. My kids and myself (I have to admit) love to dress Mollie up. She wasn't a very good sport with a cape that she got for christmas and her ears would go down and she looked so sad--but so cute!!

It was easy for her to shake off and so we had to get something else...

Lexie picked out this cute vest. She can't wiggle out of it and she looks darling!! Then..Mollie decided to grow up and go into heat. Yuck and eeeww is all I heard from the kids-and agreed with them. Kallie went on a hunt through her drawer to find her panties that were too small and she found a few. We started with these cute maroon ones with lace and a bow. Mollie doesn't enjoy them, but she wears them and keeps them on.

This will be dress up items I will be glad to get rid of!!

Blogging Blahs

I've had the Blogging Blahs and so I thought since it is Christmas Eve, I'll hit the HIGHLIGHTS:

We will have a white Christmas. Yeah! As much as I want the roads to be clear and dry for Cort to travel back and forth to work, it is so great to have snow. The kids have enjoyed playing in it, but another benefit--Mollie is way quick with her business outside!!

I love when the house is all decorated for Christmas. I love the smells and sounds and the festiveness of it all. The kids did most of the decorating and LOVED it.
I got some new ornament hangers this year-Plastic-to replace the wire ones, they were put to good use!

One tradition we kept going this year, was decorating a gingerbread
House. I love the candy as much as the do! This year they got to do a couple of them.

We had a Christmas party to celebrate with our older kids and the family. It was fun to eat. visit and this year we had a fuzz ball tournament-Austin my son in law was the winner!!

We decorated gingerbread houses. We had some people that were slow and meticulous builder, the fast builders who just wanted to get the most candy inside and out (Hunter!) and then there were some who weren't interested in gingerbread at all. This is my fav picture of the night!! Lynette and her cute boyfriend Roger.and I just am so thankful for this season of celebrating Christ. This year I have a greater love for my Savior, Cort and all the sacrifices he is making for our family and for my kids. How great they have been with their dad gone for most of the week. I also wouldn't be sane with out the support and care of my great friends!!

I am Thankful for Santa also and what he represents this Christmas seasons--Presents!

I do love presents but... He is a Christmas symbol for the spirit of family fun and the joy of giving and receiving.
So, Merry Christmas!!! May your day be filled with Love and Happiness and your New Year
Safe and Prosperous!

Is it really 7-are you sure?

Oh our little Kallie had a birthday and was so excited. We partied all day and into the night and I loved hearing "Thanks Mom, this is the best day ever". My favorite part of the day was watching icarly in my bed and her falling asleep snuggled next to me. Every morning she used to snuggle with Cort and I- in the middle of course. Now, she wants to turn her lamp on in the morning and read and I miss our snuggle time. It is fun to watch her grow into this fabulous person, I wish it wouldn't happen so fast:) I love our little girl. Her spunk, sass and all!! Happy Birthday Kallie!!
